Improve soil health while adding vibrant seasonal color with Crimson Clover Seeds from Survival Garden Seeds. Not to be confused with Red Clover, Crimson Clover (Trifolium incarnatum) is a fast-growing annual known for its elongated, deep red blooms and valuable nitrogen-fixing ability. It establishes quickly without becoming invasive, making it an excellent choice for gardeners who want both beauty and function.

Crimson clover is widely used as a cover crop in garden beds, raised beds, and larger growing areas to reduce erosion, suppress weeds, and enrich soil naturally. Its flowers attract pollinators and beneficial insects, while the tender foliage is also valued for forage and wildlife support.

Nitrogen-Fixing Cover Crop with Ornamental Appeal:
Crimson Clover is valued for:

  • Rapid establishment and strong early growth
  • Nitrogen fixation that improves soil fertility
  • Large, elongated red flower heads with visual impact

Why Customers Love Crimson Clover:

  • Enhances soil quality naturally without synthetic inputs
  • Helps prevent soil erosion in gardens and raised beds
  • Attracts bees and other pollinators
  • Produces bold blooms that look beautiful planted in mass
  • Annual growth habit that won’t overtake the garden

How to Use / How to Grow:
Sow seeds directly outdoors in early spring or fall, depending on climate. Broadcast seeds evenly over prepared soil and lightly rake in. Keep soil moist until seedlings are established. Crimson clover thrives in full sun to partial shade and adapts well to a range of soil types. It can be cut and turned into the soil as green manure before flowering or allowed to bloom for pollinator support.

Harvest & Use:
Flowers may be harvested and dried to make a mild, refreshing herbal tea. For soil improvement, mow or cut plants before seed set and incorporate them into the soil to return nutrients and organic matter.

Thinner Than Chinet, Far More Expensive
Size: 12 PACK
These platters are about the same size and shape as Chinet platters and are reminiscent of them in construction and form. However, these plates are about half as thick as a Chinet and at $10 for just 12 plates, that makes them FAR more expensive than Chinet which a 30-pack of their platters can be had for less than $7. So no, I won't be getting any more of these much thinner, much more expensive plates when Chinet offers a product that's usually sturdier than you need for far less than these platters. If they were cheaper than Chinet by a fair amount I'd have given them 5 stars as they're thick enough for most uses and thumbs up for compostability, but I have to call out the overpriced nature of them.
